The STEEL-IT range comprises three product groups: the epoxy coatings, the polyurethane coatings and the high-temperature coatings. Each product features customised 316L stainless steel flakes. When these flakes are applied, they align horizontally and form a tightly packed barrier of pure stainless steel. This stainless steel shield makes STEEL-IT coated materials virtually impervious to corrosion and corrosive elements, providing a durable surface that resists scratching and peeling even in the most challenging conditions. The epoxy coating corresponds to corrosion protection class C4-high / C5-medium (DIN EN ISO 12944). It is equally suitable for the food industry and for industry in general, as well as for architecture. The coating has a unique resistance to abrasion and chemicals. The polyurethane coatings are suitable for all outdoor applications due to their UV resistance. The direct weldability of the coating makes this product group particularly popular in motorsport. Can also be used in industry and the food industry. The high-temperature coating can withstand constant temperatures of 537°C, with peaks of up to approx. 649°C. This coating is used wherever conventional coatings reach their thermal limits. Typical applications are in motorsport (exhaust system) and in industry.
