Description
STEEL-IT silicone high-temperature paint can withstand constant temperatures of 537°C, with peaks up to approx. 649°C. STEEL-IT silicone high-temperature paint does not require priming or pre-coating. At high temperatures, the coating forms a bond with the bare steel surface. For optimum curing, hardness and durability, the coating must be subjected to a 60-minute curing cycle at 204°C. The stainless steel coating offers unique, high-quality corrosion protection and provides the surface with excellent protection against impact, abrasion, moisture, solvents, alkalis, UV radiation and much more. The stainless steel coating is non-toxic and complies with USDA guidelines. The silicone high-temperature coating is easy to apply. It is applied with a conventional air spray gun, compressed air spray gun or airless gun. Alternatively, it can also be applied with a brush or roller. STEEL-IT high-temperature coatings have a grey colour. This changes from approx. 315.6 °C to various shades of reddish chocolate brown and then remains in this colour. Typical applications for the high-temperature coating are Heat exchangers, boiler shells, ovens, power generation and production equipment. Coverage yield: 7.36 m2/L Recommended dry film thickness: 75 µm To achieve a dry film thickness of 75 µm, a wet film thickness of 102 µm must be applied.
