Description
The polyurethane topcoat has very good adhesion to metal and structural steel surfaces. The stainless steel layer offers unique, high-quality corrosion protection and provides the surface with excellent protection against impact, abrasion, moisture, solvents, alkalis, UV radiation and much more. The stainless steel coating is non-toxic. Some colour variants comply with USDA guidelines. The polyurethane top coat is weldable! Early signs of damage are easy to recognise and can be repaired by welding the coating directly without mechanical pre-treatment. This is a decisive and time-saving advantage, not only in motorsport. For applications where weldability is paramount, it is recommended to omit the undercoat and instead apply two coats (or more) of the topcoat directly to the prepared surface. Typical applications for polyurethane topcoat are: Automotive and motorsport, architecture, construction, food industry, agriculture, aerospace, marine (on-shore). Depending on the colour variant, the coverage yield varies between approx. 3.7 m2/L and approx. 4.7 m2/L. Recommended dry film thickness: 75 µm per coat To achieve a dry film thickness of 75 µm, a wet film thickness of approx. 205 to approx. 229 µm must be applied, depending on the colour variant.
